How could you ever write a story about classic uniforms and not talk about the Tigers? No alternate jerseys, ever... crisp navy piping down each side of the buttons... that Olde English "D" emblazoned on the left breast... stylish road-greys with a script "Detroit"... a uniform for the ages.
Don't get me wrong, the Cardinals look pretty damn spiffy (although I've always wondered about the gold bat; it seems to work, though). But seriously, I'd put the Tigers ahead of the Cubs, especially given the Cubbies' adoption of a third jersey.
(Besides, the Tigers are doing great this year, and they need a little more exposure. Bless You Boys!)
